Snyu privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-09-02
Snyu is a moderation and community bot for two linked Discord servers, Mudae World and Rollsdae World; both official servers of the Mudae Discord application. It serves those two servers, and it is run exclusively by me, the bot owner. It is also present in a few private servers that exist only to host custom emoji, where it does nothing and collects nothing.
Snyu stores what a feature needs to work, and deletes it once the feature stops needing it.
Who is responsible
Snyu is operated by me, a private individual, not a company. Contact details for privacy requests are at the bottom of this page.
What Snyu stores
Identity: Your Discord user ID, your username, and your avatar reference. This is how the bot knows who you are across its features.
Roles and duties: Which of the bot's own roles and moderation duties you hold in Mudae World and Rollsdae World.
Reports: If you send a report to the moderation team, the text and any attachments you send, with the date and who it concerns.
Character suggestion forms (UFGs): The text of the forms posted in the #up-for-grabs channel is copied into a searchable index.
Quest proofs: If you submit a proof for a quest, the attachment or the message you point to is copied into a completely private archive channel owned by the bot, and links to both that copy and your original message are stored. The copy is kept for the period below even if you later delete your original message, because it is what the moderators check against.
Game records: Balances, bids, debts, auction history, rewards, Mudae kakera reacts, and an audit log of changes to them.
Character ownership: Which characters you own in the official Mudae game, read from the game bot's own messages.
Anti-spam codes: When an image is flagged as blocked, the bot stores a short code calculated from it, not the image itself, so the same image can be instantly recognised if it is posted again.
Moderation logs: When spam is detected, a report is posted to a private moderation channel. When a message is edited, the previous and new text are sent to a private moderation log channel, restricted to a small number of highly trusted moderators or admins.
Moderation investigations: When a specific moderation case requires it, the bot reads a long span of the game bot's past messages about the players concerned and produces statistics from them. This only looks at the game bot's messages, never at conversations between members, and the working data is deleted once the case is closed.
Activity counts: Rollsdae World requires Instance 1 members to fit activity criteria over any two months. To apply that rule, the bot counts your messages and records a message link, a classification, the message length, a counter of words and emojis, and whether a poll passed (if it is a poll).
What Snyu does not store
Beyond what is listed above, message content is processed in memory and discarded.
Snyu does not read or store presence information, meaning your online status or what you are playing.
Message content is never used to train machine learning or AI models.
Nothing is sold, licensed, or shared with any third party. There are no analytics services and no outside data processors. Moderation output is visible to the moderation team it concerns.
How long it is kept
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Identity, roles, game and economy records | Your identity and profile data (id, username, avatar reference, role and duty membership): as long as you take part in the community, deleted on request or 90 days after leaving both Mudae World and Rollsdae World. Game and economy records referencing you are kept longer where still needed, for example an outstanding debt or an auction history entry; they are not deleted by leaving, only anonymised where deletion would erase something another member is owed. |
| Report bodies | 90 days, unless a moderator marks it as a case worth a lasting record. A shorter summary of who reported whom, when, and the conclusion is kept beyond that |
| Character suggestion forms (UFGs) | The forms are stored as the feature's index. The link between a form and you is removed after 2 years while you stay in either Mudae World or Rollsdae World, after 90 days if you left both servers, or sooner if you ask |
| Quest proofs | In Instance 2, the season they belong to, plus 90 days. In Instance 1, 180 days. The archived copy and both stored links go at the same time. |
| Edited-message log | 30 to 31 days. Once a day, every logged message that has passed 31 days is deleted in bulk. |
| Deleted UFGs | Purged 90 days after deletion |
| Activity counts | While the activity rule needs them. Usually 2 months, up to 180 days maximum |
| Game statistics | 90 days past the end of the season for Instance 2, and 180 days for Instance 1 |
| Moderation investigation data | Deleted once the case is closed. Only the conclusion is kept |
| Backups | A rolling window of 180 days. A deletion request reaches backups within that window |
Your requests
You can ask for your data to be shown, corrected, anonymised, or deleted. Use the request form on this page, or the contact below. I handle them myself.
There are two exceptions. When a report concerns moderation of a member, the part still needed for moderation is kept (who reported whom, when, and the conclusion) and the rest is deleted. Your posts in a public channel also belong to that channel, so you can ask to be anonymised on the bot's features while your messages remain where you posted them.
Security
Snyu runs on a DigitalOcean droplet in the EU. The database listens on localhost only. I am the only one with administrative access, using key-based authentication. Backups are encrypted.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which can see the IP address of anyone who visits it. None of Snyu's data is stored there. It stays on the private server described above.
If something goes wrong and data is exposed, affected members and Discord will be notified.
Age
Discord requires users to be at least 13, or older where local law says so. Snyu is not directed at anyone below that age.
Changes
This page will be updated when the bot's data practices change, and the date at the top will change with it.
Contact
To make a request, use this link. It opens your email app with the message already started.
If that link does not work, send an email to privacy@snyubot.com or a message to kukooo on Discord, and include:
- Your Discord user ID and your username
- Whether you want your data shown, corrected, anonymised or deleted
- Which feature it concerns, if you know
- A proof that it is coming from you (any screenshots to complete this information)
Your Discord user ID is the number Discord uses for your account. To copy it, turn on "Developer Mode" in Discord's advanced settings, then right click your own name and choose "Copy User ID". If you cannot find it, send the request anyway and say so.
Privacy requests and questions: privacy@snyubot.com, or kukooo (user ID 227125620700741632) on Discord.
